1. Reus or Götze?

I think both are outstanding footballers. But, if I have to choose, I’d say Götze. Because he is still a little younger and maybe he has a little more potential.

2. Maths or English?

English. Right now I have more use for it than for math, especially on our many trips. I‘m more linguistically gifted. Although I have no problems with math, but physics and chemistry are really not what I like.

3. Rivaldo or Raul?

Since I’m able to play with him, I say: Raul. I admire him even more since we play together. Rivaldo was the idol of my youth. His sovereignty, elegance and charisma impressed me. I can still see his spectacular bicycle-kick, with which he helped Barcelona to qualify for the Champions League against Valencia in 2001.

4. Central or on the wing?

Central. It’s the position I trained in my whole youth time, there I can show my strength the best. But it’s normal for a young professinal to begin playing on the wing, there are many examples for that. I’m still happy if I can play at all, the position doesn’t matter. 

5. 31 or 10?

The 10 is still my favourite number. Because many of my idols wore the 10 and I wore it in most of the Schalke youth teams. But I’ve also made good experiences with the 31 since the begin of my professional carrer.

6. Dog or cat?

Dog. Since I can remember, we always had a dog. Our Labrador-mix is called Sammy.

7. Barcelona or Real Madrid?

At the moment I would say Barcelona, they play an exceptional football. But for a professional player both are of course dream-clubs.

8. Wenger or Mourinho

Both are outstanding coaches, that goes without saying. I must admit that for me as an observer Mourinho’s provocative style is fascinating. Even if he sometimes goes too far, I find it appealing how he plays with the media for example.

9. Naughty or adapted?

Both.I have adapted so far as I know myself to classify within the team. But I also know when to be naughty sometimes need a little trustand needs to pull his thing. But most importantly on the pitch.

10. Pizza or Pasta?

A Pizza after a victory can taste really good. But generelly I prefer Pasta. Different types of noodles au gratin is my favourite at the moment.

11. Brazil or Russia?

Brazil. There lives a fascinating football tradition, and also the country itself would be very interested. It would be a dream, to experience both component during the 2014 World Cup. If I may travel to Russia in 2018, I would definitely not say no.
